CHANDLER, Okla. (AP) -- Authorities say an Adair woman was killed when her sport utility vehicle left Interstate 44 in Lincoln County. Hospital officials in Stroud pronounced 48-year-old Julie Littleford dead of massive internal injuries following the single-vehicle accident about 3:10 p.m. Wednesday.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says her SUV was traveling east on the highway when for some unknown reason it went off the road.
Troopers say she overcorrected, crossed the road and struck the barrier wall.
