OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Governor Brad Henry says federal authorities should add Nowata County to a disaster declaration for Ottawa and Washington counties because of flooding. He's also renewing his call for Pottawatomie and Comanche counties be included in the disaster declaration.
President Bush approved the disaster declaration for flood victims in Ottawa and Washington counties on Saturday.
Henry says a number of areas are hard hit by new flooding and he may ask for federal assistance for other counties across the state.
Preliminary estimates by the state Department of Emergency Management indicates 938 houses were damaged by floods in Miami and Bartlesville and in Comanche, Nowata and Pottawatomie counties.
