NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ An Oklahoma baseball assistant coach was named as the University of Tennessee's pitching coach.

Fred Corral spent the past three seasons in the OU program as assistant to former coach Larry Cochell and present head coach Sunny Golloway.

The Sooners made consecutive appearances in the NCAA tournament in the 2005 and 2006 seasons. OU finished the 2007 season with a 34-and-24 overall record and an 11-and-6 mark in Big 12 Conference play.

Officials say the search for a new pitching coach for OU is under way.
