OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ An apartment complex where a man was shot and killed by Oklahoma City police was the scene of another shooting on Saturday.
The victim, identified only as a 20-year-old black man, was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for a minor gunshot wound and released, police said.
Police have no suspects in custody, and a helicopter search Saturday afternoon for a group of 10 black men who fled the scene was unsuccessful, Lt. Dale Marshall said.
The shooting happened about 1:10 p.m. in a courtyard just a few yards from where James Ware, 33, died from police gunfire Thursday after as many as 15 people joined him in a struggle with two officers.
Police have said Ware's attempt to grab an officer's gun prompted another officer to shoot him multiple times.
The officers were responding to a vandalism complaint when Thursday's shooting occurred.
Following police policy, the officer who shot Ware is on paid administrative leave until a police investigation into the shooting is complete.
The motive of Saturday's shooting appears to be robbery, Marshall said.
``I was making lunch for all the kids, and I heard those loud shots again,'' said Giana Johnson. ``I heard them the other day, too. I said, 'No way it's the same thing again.'''
Johnson said she lives a few miles away and has been staying with her cousin, a resident of the apartment complex, for the past week.
Other residents, still reeling from Thursday's deadly shooting, grew more emotional and tense Saturday.
Many claimed police are not telling the whole story about either shooting, but would not agree to be named in media reports.
Despite the tension, Marshall said police were not faced with any out-of-the ordinary hostility while responding to the shooting.
He said police will add extra patrols to the complex as a result of the shootings.
