Tulsa Police say a robber with a bad temper is on the loose and they hope you can help get him caught. The robbery happened at the Check-N-Go at the 4900 block of south Union on Tuesday, May 22nd. The robber went in around 5 p.m. News On 6 crime reporter Lori Fullbright reports he pointed a gun at the woman on duty and demanded money.
"She gives him what's in the drawer, and he becomes irate because that's not enough money to suit his needs at that time,†said Tulsa Police Officer Scott Walton.
This is when police say the robber lost his temper and a simple robbery became a terrifyingly, violent ordeal.
"He points the weapon at her face and threatens to kill her, and then fires off a round, shoots off a round in the ceiling before he exits,†Walton said.
The man is in his mid to late 20's, with short hair and a scar or light patch of skin on his right cheek.
Anyone with information about this robbery can call Crimestoppers at 596-COPS. You don't have to give your name and if your tip leads to an arrest, the Citizens Crime Commission will pay you a cash reward.
