HENNESSEY, Okla. (AP) -- Authorities in Kingfisher County have rescued three people Thursday morning from vehicles stranded in flood waters from Turkey Creek. Hennessey town administrator Tiffany Tillman says rescue workers from Hennessey and Kingfisher County searching for a man in a van found and rescued him from the top of the van just before 8:45 a.m. northwest of Hennessey.

The search began when highway workers reported seeing a van drive around barricades on State Highway 51 earlier Thursday morning.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol Lieutenant Robert Forman says a woman was rescued from a pickup truck in the same area about 5:30 a.m. and a man was rescued about 4 a.m.
