Heavy rain Wednesday and early Thursday morning has turned a few eastern Oklahoma roadways into waterways. The water has caused problems for some drivers. Streets that are dry for much of the year will drive very different when they are under water and maneuvering along those roads has proved to be tricky for some people, causing accidents.

An off-duty OSU Police officer was injured on his way home early Thursday morning. It happened on Edison Street near 34th West Avenue. Tulsa Police say the officer’s motorcycle ran into high water during a period of heavy rain.

The man injured his head and arm. The officer is expected to be okay.
