Hundreds of travelers were evacuated from the concourse after a security breach at Tulsa International Airport Wednesday afternoon. According to an airport spokesperson the breach was minor, and the evacuation, while it caused plenty of head-aches, was just procedure.

The airport spokesperson says it was an elderly man who breached security by passing through a concourse exit. She says the man may have been confused and did not stop, even after a security guard yelled at him and an alarm went off.

The man was taken into custody and has been interviewed. Meanwhile, several hundred passengers had to be purged from Concourse B and go back through security.

"It doesn't happen very often, because of the technology that we have in place that warns people with signs and sirens and personnel to tell people to kind of stay clear of those areas,” said Alexis Higgins of Tulsa International Airport. It’s very rare that this happens. However we have standard procedures in place on how to handle these types of things."

TSA opened all five security checkpoints and had all of the Concourse 'B' passengers back through security within 30 minutes.

They say there were only a few delayed flights because of the breach.
