OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Oklahoma City is one of three cities in the running for an aircraft manufacturing plant and company headquarters. Florida-based Piper Aircraft has cut its list of potential cities from five to three with Oklahoma City still on the list.
Piper is considering moving both its headquarters and its manufacturing facility from Vero Beach, Florida, and would bring about 1,500 jobs with the move.
Piper spokesman Mark Miller wouldn't say when a final decision will be made and says the company wants to take as much time as possible.
