SUNRIVER, Ore. (AP) -- Ryan Benzel, an assistant pro at Seattle Golf Club, holds a one-stoke lead after the third round of the PGA Professional National Championship.
Benzel shot at 1-over-par 73 Saturday on the par-72 Crosswater Golf Club course at Sunriver Resort in Oregon and stands at 5-under 210. He managed the lead despite recording three bogeys on Saturday.
John O'Leary, the director of instruction at Pleasant Valley Golf Club in Chantilly, Virginia, shot a 2-under 70 and is at 211.
Chip Sullivan, of Troutville, Virginia, is also a shot back after firing a 4-under 68.
The top 20 finishers scores earn a berth in the 89th PGA Championship, which will be held at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on August 9th through 12th.
