SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter left New York's game against the San Francisco Giants on Saturday with a slight strain of his left hip.

Jeter hurt himself in the first inning but stayed in the game until being replaced in the eighth in a double-switch. He is listed as day-to-day.

Jeter went 2-5 with an RBI, extending his hitting streak to 17 games. He has also hit in 25 straight interleague games.
