ATLANTA (AP) -- Saying he felt pressured to return from a groin injury, Chipper Jones is back in the Atlanta Braves lineup for Saturday's game against Detroit.

Asked if he is rushing his return, Jones said, "probably, but I feel a little backed into a corner." When asked to elaborate the Braves third baseman indicated some doubted he was injured enough to miss games.

Jones said, "let's just say there are people who don't believe me -- let's just say that and leave it at that."

Following last night's five-nothing loss to the Tigers, Braves starting pitcher John Smoltz said you can't worry about who's in the lineup and who isn't and that he certainly appreciated the effort of the guys "who are on the field busting it."

Jones apparently sustained the injury during Tuesday's game against Boston. He left Wednesday's game with the injury and was held out last night following an off day Thursday.
