Fatal Hit And Run Accident Prompts Charges

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ An Oklahoma City man is now charged with manslaughter for a deadly hit-and-run crash earlier this month. Steven Lee Robertson is accused of crashing into two men who were changing a tire on the shoulder of Interstate 44 in southwest Oklahoma City on December 13th.

Eighteen-year-old Thomas Lee Smith was killed and 49-year-old Danny Shaw seriously injured.

Robertson was arrested later in southeast Oklahoma City.

In addition to first-degree manslaughter Robertson is charged with leaving the scene of an accident and causing an accident resulting in great bodily injury.
