Houston Police are searching for a Rice University student from Oklahoma nearly two weeks after his disappearance. 20-year-old Matthew Wilson has been missing from his off-campus apartment since December 4th. Matthew Wilson is from Haworth in southeastern Oklahoma near Idabel.

Wilson's sister and mother are still hoping that Matthew will turn up.

“Initially we weren't worried because it was finals week and it's not uncommon for students to kind of hibernate during that time period and focus on their studies. So no, initially we were not worried, said Matthew’s sister Kimberlee Wilson-Getts.

“Matthew has tried so hard to get where he's at, he has goals, potential and I miss him so much. I need him," said Matthew’s mother Cathy Wilson.

Houston Police say $400 was taken from Wilson's bank account the day before he disappeared. Houston Police say his Matthew’s car is also missing.
