Day 6 of the ice storm's aftermath wasn't any easier for some people in north Tulsa. Power is still out, but one man is stepping in to help. News On 6 anchor Latoya Silmon reports despite the devastation, a Tulsa man has stepped up to assume the role of Santa.

It's something you'd have to see to believe.

“I've been here for over 50 years and never I have I seen it like this. Never,” said W.T. Lauderdale.

His neighborhood turned into a nightmare after an ice storm blew through tearing down power lines and utility poles. People here have been in the dark for six days. All the devastation had W.T. praying for a miracle. But, he had no idea a complete stranger would answer the call.

A man who saw a report Thursday night on the News On 6 decided to help W.T.

“I was very impressed with this gentleman when I saw him on Channel 6. His attitude and he seemed upbeat after not having electricity for a week,” said Bill Inhofe.

Now thanks to Bill Inhofe and the folks at Sooner Emergency Services, W.T. Lauderdale has a brand new generator, free of charge.

“The Lord answered my prayer,” said W.T. Lauderdale.

But, Bill Inhofe isn't stopping with helping Lauderdale. He's also delivering money to a woman who was scammed out of $400.

It's money Omalee Carver thought she'd never see again.

She gave the money to man who claimed he'd get all the fallen tree limbs out her yard. Neighbors came to her rescue, but she says the man who scammed her wouldn't give her the money back.

“I hope he's watching this!” said Omalee Carver of the man who took her money.

“Me, too. Tell him he can give me the 400,” added Bill Inhofe.

You might say Christmas came early for some thanks to Bill Inhofe.
