LAS VEGAS (AP) _ The Academy of Country Music Awards will be held in Las Vegas for a sixth year, but will move from Tuesday night to Sunday.

The awards will be presented May 18 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. CBS will broadcast the show live.

``Las Vegas is an ideal place for the Academy to showcase country music's best and we couldn't be happier to have the show on a Sunday night,'' Executive Director Bob Romeo said Monday in a statement.

The event will include multiple nights of country music on Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas and a celebrity Motorcycle Ride for the Academy's charitable fund.
