Hundreds of folks turned out on Thursday for the dedication of OSU-Tulsa's newest addition and Tulsa's latest Vision 2025 project. The $43 million Helmerich Advanced Technology Research Center is located near Interstate 244 and Detroit. It offers several new engineering labs and two high-tech seminar rooms.

OSU-Tulsa's president says the addition will help the university fulfill its mission.

"We've had great classroom space and office space we had no really research space. And that's what you have to have to attract research faculty, grad students and get into those programs, those technology programs that we need in Oklahoma," said OSU-Tulsa President Gary Trennepohl.

The center opens in January 2008.
