BRAY, Okla. (AP) -- A small plane has crashed in a rural area near Bray, killing one person and seriously injuring another. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the small plane crashed about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in a field near the small Stephens County town, which is east of Marlow. The crash is east of Duncan Lake Road, about three-quarters of a mile south of State Highway 29.
Trooper Betsy Randolph says the injured occupant was flown by medical helicopter to a hospital.
Roland Herwig, a spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration, says the plane is a Cessna 172, a fixed-wing, single-engine aircraft. According to the FAA Registry, registration for the plane was pending and no owner was listed.
FAA investigators were en route to the site, Herwig said.
