Area law enforcement was kept busy overnight on a variety of incidents. First, a suspect runs from Tulsa Police after he allegedly steals a trailer from a Tulsa home’s driveway, another man is arrested after crashing his vehicle into a Wagoner County building and a car bursts into flames overnight near downtown Tulsa.

Late Monday night, Tulsa Police were called to check on a report of a theft of a 16-foot trailer. A short time later, police officers stopped a vehicle at 61st and Trenton that had a trailer matching the description of the stolen trailer. The driver got out of the vehicle and fled on foot. He has not been found.

A passenger told Tulsa Police she was the owner of the vehicle, and says the driver borrowed her vehicle while she was in a Tulsa area casino. When he came back to pick her up, there was a trailer hooked up on the back of her vehicle.

At about the same time, a Pryor man heading east on 71st Street just west of 305th East Avenue ran off the road. Authorities say the vehicle hit the corner of a building at the Big Toys Barn storage facility.

No vehicles inside the barn were damaged, but the barn, a fence and light pole were damaged. Authorities arrested the man for DUI and possession of marijuana.

And at 10 pm Monday, Tulsa Police and Fire were called out to 3rd and Peoria to put out a car fire. Smoke was seen coming from the vehicle right before it burst into flames. Firefighters quickly put out the fire.

No one was hurt.
