A stolen car chase ends with 11 people in a Tulsa hospital. It started after the in-car navigation system told Tulsa Police the Chevy was stolen. A police officer tried to pull the SUV over on U.S. Highway 169, but the driver sped off. The chase ended at Admiral and Garnett, when the stolen SUV smashed into a car.
The force of the wreck flipped the SUV into a ditch. Police say the accident victims in both cars range from 4-years to 22-years-old. All are in fair condition, except for an 11 year old listed in serious condition. The wreck happened a few blocks from Kerr Elementary School where school just let out.
Angie Garrard had just picked up her kids and saw the whole thing.
"I have my children with me. I can just imagine, if I had come up a few more seconds, we would have been hit. I have four children with me. That's too much to take to heart. We're lucky,†said Angie Garrard, witness.
Tulsa Police say the driver of the stolen SUV faces several charges.
