EL PASO, Texas (AP) - The father of a 3-year-old girl found dead in a car trunk says he sought custody of the girl after authorities investigated the mother for abuse but didn't file charges. Child Protective Services says they didn't find any risk factors for abuse, but a CPS spokeswoman says Yara Perez had "some problems with irrational behavior."

The body of Jacqueline Gonzalez was found Monday night in a plastic container in the trunk of her mother's car in El Paso.
