Outdoor Ice Skating Opens

There's a new way to enjoy a cold weather sport in Tulsa all winter long. The Oilers Ice Center opened on Friday. It is the only outdoor rink in the Tulsa area, located at 6413 South Mingo.

"We've got a good community support here on the indoor rink and we thought boy, what better way to bring the holiday spirit out and having families and friends being able to skate outdoors,â€ said Alec Hines with the Oilers Ice Center.

Public skating hours will be noon to 8 p.m. seven days a week. The Oilers Ice Center will be open until February 15th. The ice can also be booked for private parties.
