TULSA, Okla. (AP) Tulsa County District Attorney Tim Harris says Tulsa police officers were justified in using deadly force against a man who pointed a rifle during a standoff last month.

Thirty-seven-year-old Timothy Ray Casey was fatally shot October 29th at a Tulsa apartment complex.

Harris says after investigating the shooting, he determined the officers who fired the shots, Seargent Brandon Wykoff and Officer Josh Martin, acted reasonably under the circumstances.

During a standoff with police after a domestic incident, Casey repeatedly stuck the gun barrel of a rifle out of broken windows in the apartment. At one point, police say he stepped out onto a balcony, shouldered the rifle and pointed it at officers, prompting them to shoot.
