NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ Oklahoma tight end Jermaine Gresham is one of eight semifinalists for the John Mackey Award, an honor presented annually to the nation's top college tight end.

The sophomore from Ada leads OU in receiving touchdowns with 10, the OU single-season record for touchdowns by a tight end. He has 31 receptions for 426 yards.

Gresham is the only sophomore on the Mackey semifinalist list, which includes four seniors and three juniors. Both of Missouri's tight ends -- Martin Rucker and Chase Coffman -- made the list.

The others are Gary Barnidge of Louisville, Travis Beckum of Wisconsin, Fred Davis of Southern Cal, Darius Hill of Ball State and Dustin Keller of Purdue.

The winner will be announced on December 6 at the Home Depot ESPNU College Football Awards Show on ESPN.
