Wake Being Held For TPD Officers

A wake will be held on Tuesday night for two Tulsa police officers killed in a car accident last weekend. Officer Sue Wallace and her husband, retired Corporal George Wallace, will be remembered at Floral Haven Funeral Home located at 6500 S.129th East Ave., from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The wake is open to the public.

Their funeral will be Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. at The Church on the Move located at 1003 N. 129th East Avenue. It will include a full police honor guard. Sue Wallace's family will bury her in Dustin on Wednesday and George Wallace will be laid to rest in Wyandotte.

The Wallaceâ€™s were died Saturday afternoon in a car accident. It happened in Glenpool at 136th Street South and Highway 75 at 4:30 p.m. Officer Sue Wallace was reportedly attempting to make a left turn onto Highway 75 from a private drive when her vehicle was struck by a vehicle traveling Southbound on Highway 75.

Officer Sue Wallace had been with the Tulsa Police Department since September 1986. Corporal Wallace retired from the department in November 1996 after more than 26 years of service.
