Sapulpa Police arrest two suspects in connection with a shooting that left one Sapulpa teenager dead. Eighteen-year-old Andrew Sutton of Glenpool was shot and killed Saturday night. Police investigators say a group of teens gathered at a house in Sapulpa. About 10:30 Saturday night, officers received a 911 call of a shooting. When officers arrived they found the victim with a gunshot wound to the head.
Andrew Sutton was flown to a Tulsa hospital where he died a short time later. Sapulpa police tracked a suspect, 19-year-old Bradley Rigg to his apartment where he was arrested.
“I did know one of the boy's family and it hits hard. And, it's tough, but that's why we try to explain to these kids not to gather up and have these kinds of parties and drinking,†said Sapulpa Police Captain Bret Bowling.
The homeowner, 18-year-old Ronnie Davis, faces charges that include interfering with a police investigation, possession of an illegal weapon and providing an illegal weapon to an intoxicated person. He reportedly hid some evidence during the investigation.
Sutton’s death is Sapulpa's second homicide of 2007.
