DODGE CITY, Kan. (AP) _ A bronze sculpture of Dodge City's most famous lawman that was created by Oklahoma artist Mary Spurgeon will be revealed in November.

The 8-foot-tall, 500-pound tribute to Wyatt Earp is currently being kept at an undisclosed location in southwest Kansas.

The sculpture of Earp with his hand resting on his revolver will stand near Dodge City's Trail of Fame walking trail. It'll be on the street named after Earp.

Trail of Fame officials will sell 14-inch bronze replicas of Earp to pay for the statue
