OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ A stand-off between a man and police in northwest Oklahoma City has ended peacefully.

Police Captain Jeff Becker says the stand-off ended shortly before 10:30 AM Wednesday.

Becker says after efforts to contact the man failed, officers with a police dog entered the house and found the man hiding in a van in the garage.

The man's name wasn't immediately released.

Becker says investigators are searching the house to determine if the man had a weapon or drugs.

Police say the incident began when they tried to stop a motorcycle about 8:30 AM. The driver sped off, but later crashed and ran into a residential area.

He forced his way into a house where three people were inside. Those inside were able to get out safely.
