OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ State tourism officials are working on a detailed guide of recreational trails in the state.
The guide will include information on hiking, biking, four-wheeling, horseback riding and other recreational trail activities. It is expected to be ready in November.
Tourism officials say public request for a trails brochure has been tremendous.
The department will use a combination of federal grant money, plus $20,000 from Integris Health, to publish 500,000 brochures.
The brochures will be available through visitor centers, online at www.travelok.com, through Integris and at other travel locations.
Tourism officials say the received input from enthusiasts who already use, maintain or even build the various trails.
