OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ A total of 65 Oklahoma-breds have been entered into the seven-race stakes series that comprise the $315,000 Oklahoma Classics.

The 12th edition of the Classics takes place Saturday at Oklahoma City's Remington Park.

The featured event is the $75,000 Oklahoma Classic. George Taylor will try to defend his title in the race he won last year.

The Classic will be the eighth race on the program, wrapping up the seven Oklahoma Classics stakes events.

The other Classics stakes races include:

-- The $40,000 Cherokee Casino & Resort Sprint, featuring Medium Rare as he tries to win the race for the fourth consecutive year;

-- And the $40,000 John Deere Filly and Mare Turf, where a streaking Tamara's Babe faces nine rivals including 2002 winner Rhyeliz.
