OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- A state election official says voter registration is increasing as the general election draws near.

Election Board Secretary Michael Clingman says his office is being flooded with registrations. He says the presidential election, a US Senate race in the state and a number of state issues are likely reasons for the rising number of voters registrations.

Clingman says he expects about 1.4-million voters to turn out for the November 2nd election, which would be about 63% of the state's registered voters.
