ADA, Okla. (AP) -- A driver allegedly involved in an Oklahoma hit-and-run that killed an East Central University football player from Texas surrendered Monday.
Prosecutor Chris Ross says he intends to file first-degree murder and assault with a deadly weapon charges against the suspect.
The victim was black. The suspect is white.
18-year-old Joseph Tusan of Arlington, Texas, was dead at the scene Sunday near Ada.
He was among nine students and players in a pickup that was hit from behind by another truck.
Three others were injured.
The driver of the other pickup, 43-year-old Amman Reich of Konawa, Oklahoma, turned himself in Monday.
Ross says Tusan and other college students who were looking for a party when they allegedly got into a confrontation with some people and racial slurs were exchanged.
