The Cherokee and Creek Nations have reached a major milestone. For the first time ever, the two tribes have combined forces for a joint business venture.
They'll operate a call center in Muskogee that will target government contracts. Their conservative estimate in the short term is for 500 employees. The only surprise is that it took the tribes this long to team up.
Cherokee Nation Chief Chad Smith: "We came across the Trail of Tears together, we played stickball together, we had stomp dances together, our governments were subject to the same trials and tribulations together."
The call center will be part of the Summit Call Center building in Muskogee.
