Some consultants are ready to present their findings to the Tulsa Parking Authority on a brewing problem in the Brookside district.

Brookside has shopping, dining, art, and night spots. But it doesn't have ample parking. A subcommittee met last summer to discuss parking issues in the Brookside area. Consultants spent a year studying the situation and came up with a plan. They say one option on the table is the construction of a parking garage.

Stephen Carr with the city of Tulsa: "Additional parking maybe a parking garage may not only allow for additional growth but allow the existing businesses to grow because people will be able to find a place to park."

Private investors may have to foot the bill for a parking garage. Ultimately, approval for any parking improvements could go before voters.
