A Tulsa based company is scrambling to keep up with demands of customers impacted by recent hurricanes.

Dollar Thrifty says many of its callers are people directly affected by Hurricanes Frances and Charley. At their call center in Tulsa, they're working to help customers find locations to return rentals, or to get them a vehicle to help with evacuation.

The hurricanes have impacted Dollar Thrifty’s bottom line as well. 30% of its business is in Florida, and the tourism industry has come to a near standstill. Gary Paxton, CEO Dollar Thrifty: “They've certainly thrown a wrench into our business. It's difficult. One week we're shut down and the next week we're open again."

Some of Dollar Thrifty's facilities were damaged in Florida. The company hopes Hurricane Ivan doesn't cause damage to their New Orleans outlets.
