Tulsa Police were busy with a standoff outside Saint Francis Hospital. Officers say 33-year-old Jason West was outside the emergency room with two guns - one in a shoulder holster and another in his waistband. Police say west also had a fishing pole and briefcase and knife strapped to his wrist.
When negotiations with the man didn't work, officers called in their Special Operations Team.
Sgt Kim Pressley "The SOT team came outside and set up a perimeter and spoke to the man, still unable to use verbal commands to take him into custody, and then they had to use their pepper-ball gun, basically it's a less lethal form of taking someone and making them comply with your demands."
Police arrested West. They say he will be evaluated for possible psychological problems. The bomb squad was called-in to x-ray West's brief case. They did not find any explosives but they did find handcuffs and several rounds of ammunition.
