An early Friday morning fire destroys a home in Sand Springs.

Fire crews say they received the call around midnight. Investigators say the house at 7200 West 16th Street had been vacant for nearly two months, but still had the electricity turned on.

Crews say the house was a total loss when they arrived and focused on putting out the flames and protecting neighboring homes.

A neighboring home was damaged.
