Tulsa bank sponsors Jenks-Union football game

It's one of the oldest rivalries in northeast Oklahoma, Jenks versus Union. The Trojan, Redskin match up is a little more than a week away and one Tulsa business is now the event's sponsor.

It's one of the oldest rivalries in northeast Oklahoma, Jenks versus Union. The Trojan, Redskin match up is a little more than a week away and one Tulsa business is now the event's sponsor.

MidFirst Bank is the exclusive sponsor for this year's first-ever Backyard Bowl. 50-cents from every game ticket and a 100% of all t-shirts sold will be split and given to both schools to be put into their academic funds.

Ed Fariss, MidFirst Senior VP: "It's a big event for a short period of time. It gets people excited, but academics goes on and on and most people know about the athletic prowess of Jenks and Union, but many don't recognize the great academic institutions they are as well."
