WAGONER, Okla. (AP) -- A Porter teenager pleaded no contest Friday to a murder charge in the stabbing death of a high school classmate.
Daniel Dillingham said nothing as his attorney entered the plea in Wagoner County juvenile court.
The 16-year-old Dillingham was immediately placed in the custody of state juvenile authorities. He will remain in the Wagoner County Jail until he's transferred to the Lloyd Rader Center for juvenile offenders.
District Attorney Richard Gray objected to the no contest plea, saying Dillingham should have to plead guilty and admit to the crime.
Dillingham was accused of stabbing 16-year-old Andy Robinson on board a Porter High School bus December 8th. Robinson was stabbed in the chest and back and died on the bus.
Dillingham will be formally sentenced next Friday. Under state law juvenile offenders can't be held past their 19th birthday.
