Missing men on Washita River are found safe

CHICKASHA, Okla. (AP) -- Grady County authorities say two men who disappeared during a float trip on the Washita River have been found safe.

Authorities say Jason Lewis of Moore and Jacob Bonny of Middleberg were found near Alex, where they were supposed to arrive Thursday afternoon.

Other details were not immediately available.

The two were last seen about 1:30 PM Thursday when the entered the river east of Chickasha.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Grady County sheriff's deputies and Alex police searched for the two.
