TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ Tulsa has learned its Conference USA opponents for the 2005 and 2006 football seasons.
In 2005, Tulsa will play home games against East Carolina, Houston, Memphis and SMU and road games against Rice, Southern Miss, Tulane and UTEP. The next year, the Golden Hurricane's home and away opponents will be reversed.
The conference's divisional crossover games were agreed upon last week by athletic directors and announced Tuesday by Commissioner Britton Banowsky. Every season, each team will play its five divisional foes and three of the teams from the opposite division for a total conference schedule of eight games.
Tulsa, which will be in the conference's West Division, will play divisional opponents Houston, Rice, SMU, Tulane and Texas-El Paso each season. In addition, the Golden Hurricane will play three teams from the East Division, which includes Central Florida, East Carolina, Marshall, Memphis, Southern Miss and UAB.
