Tulsa sex crime detectives tell the News on 6 they are investigating the case of a man who tried to kidnap and rape a woman over the weekend.
The woman told Tulsa Police she was driving near 66th and Garnett on Saturday around 1 PM when she heard a "thump" against her car. When she got out to check on it, she says a man with a gun grabbed her and forced her back into her car, but after a struggle, she was able to get away.
Police have provided a composite sketch of the man. He's 30 to 40 years old, about 5-feet-10 and close to 200 pounds with bad teeth.
Tulsa Police Sgt Gary Stansill: "We strongly believe that someone might have seen the suspect or might have seen the incident occur, or have seen someone similar to this composite walking around the streets."
Sergeant Stansill says this incident is similar to another case that happened on August 7th not far away in Broken Arrow.
If you have any information that could help police with this case, call Crimestoppers at 596-COPS.
