Nearly 130 new laws passed by the Oklahoma Legislature earlier this year take effect at the end of the month.
One creates a $5-million program to help families affected by Tar Creek in northeast Oklahoma. State officials say about 100 families with children 6-years-old and younger will qualify for financial help to move.
Other new laws include charging inmates up to $3,000 for the cost of keeping them in jail and a $200 fee to reinstate a driver's license.
