STILWELL, Okla. (AP) _ A 5-year-old Stilwell boy is dead after his bicycle was hit by a pickup truck in Adair County.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Luz Navarro died last night at Stilwell Memorial Hospital from a head injury sustained in the collision.

The OHP says Navarro was struck by a pickup truck driven by Roy Long of Stilwell.

The patrol says Long was driving slowly on an Adair County road when he turned into a private drive and struck the bicycle, ejecting Navarro about ten feet.

The report says Navarro was not wearing a helmet.
