Three underage girls are in the Tulsa County jail following an early Thursday morning armed carjacking attempt.
Tulsa Police say a man picked up the three 17-year-old girls at a convenience store near 47th and Braden just after 11 PM Wednesday. They drove to a nearby park.
Police say that's when one of the girls pulled out a gun and carjacked the man. Tulsa Police Cpl Marcus Harper: "He was able to wrestle the firearm away from the female, but she was able to jump into the driver's seat of the car and try to drive off. At that time, he was hanging onto the vehicle and being drug by the vehicle until it crashed on the curb.â€
The victim suffered a few bumps and bruises to his leg.
The girls face charges of car jacking, armed robbery and pointing a deadly weapon.
