A Tulsa Police officer shot and killed a pit bull dog this weekend.

Charles Flemings[pictured] is the self-appointed watchman for his neighborhood and while walking the area, two pit bulls lunged at him. Flemings used his pepper spray and stun gun, but the dogs got away.

They next charged a Tulsa Police officer. Flemings: "He backed up because the dogs were coming at him, he backed up then, and he shot the dog, one time."

Out of the 205 dog bites in Tulsa this year, 54 of them have been pit bulls, more than any other breed. Both dogs from this weekend were put down.
