An Oklahoma City woman whose loved one never returned from war, met with government officials this weekend.

Laverne Ransbottom's son went missing on a Vietnamese mountain range in 1968. Five soldiers were pulled from that same mountain-range 34 years ago, but no one has been found since.

Now veterans think they've pinpointed where Major Frederick Ransbottom and another man are likely buried. Veteran Bill Wright unsuccessfully searched for the men in 1998. He says it's important to continue the search. “Whatever we can do to get these guys found, get 'em home, everything, it's everything I can do.”

The government plans to send a team to look for Ransbottom and his squad. This will likely be the last time the government will search for them.
