Vision 2025 money will soon be headed for Tulsa neighborhoods. Cities around Tulsa will get some capital improvement money. But neighborhood associations have to ask for funding for their projects.
Much of that means community beautification and economic vitality. 10% or about $2-million in Tulsa goes toward neighborhood improvements. At issue is how to fairly divide that funding between different parts of town.
Members of a citizens' task force met Monday night to update everyone on the process. Gary Kruse with the Neighborhood Funds Task Force: "Our goal is to establish criteria that are fair for the entire city to apply for the vision 2025 money for neighborhood enhancement. The more input we have the better decision we can make and the better we can establish the guidelines."
Guidelines should be ready in the next month or two, and then they will be made available to the public.
