The Oklahoma Democratic Party is the focus of a state labor investigation, after a fatal accident involving two Tulsa teens.

16-year-old Jackalyn Pearson and 15-year-old Dallas Horn were working for the state Democratic Party. About two weeks ago they were involved in a car accident. Dallas died at the scene. Jackalyn remains in a coma.

Labor Commissioner Brenda Reneau Wynn wants to know if child labor laws were violated, and if the teens are covered under worker's compensation.

Jackalyn's father says initially he was told his daughter was a contract employee and not covered. But, he's since gotten some indication his daughter's medical bills will be covered. That sill leaves a lot of unanswered questions. “The bottom line here if those girls weren't under someone's supervision or they wouldn't have been where they were one wouldn't be dead and one wouldn't be in a coma and that happened in the course of employment with somebody.”

Reneau-Wynn says she sent the Democratic Party a list of questions regarding the girls' employment. It took a subpoena for the party to respond. That information will be used to determine if there was any wrong doing.
