Two recent Tulsa robberies were caught on video tape. Both happened on July 17th, but, they're not related.
News on 6 crime reporter Lori Fullbright says one robbery happened at a Tulsa convenience store on Gilcrease Museum Road where the suspect was armed with a grilling fork.
He later claimed he was just kidding, but police don't think it's funny.
It happened at 3:30 AM. The man brought a soda to the counter and when the clerk asked him if he wanted anything else with that, the man said, "all the money in the register." The clerk pointed out that police officers were parked nearby and that's when the robber claimed it was just a joke. Then he got mad and threatened to kill the clerk before he stormed out.
In another incident, a young man behind an elderly woman in line at a Dollar General store near 6th and Sheridan. Tulsa Police say the man followed her home. She knew she was being followed, but went home anyway because she thought she could get the garage door closed in time. But the man ran inside, pointed a gun at her and snatched her purse.
